Hiiiiiiiiiii. Yes, feel free to scream at me for not updating in the longest time. Or I could just be talking to myself, since I'll never know who's reading anyway. I figured I should stop procrastinating & finally do a post on my KL trip. ^.^VAfter months of planning & saving, we finally went for a getaway after all! We liaised with Roam Holidays & Alhamdullilah it was pretty smooth in comparison to the other travel agent I had previously. :)
Aren't the clouds so pretty? Anyway, we met at 730 that morning & had reached LTCC at around noon. I think. The flight lasted about 40 minutes. The last flight I was on was in Secondary Three, so I was kinda jakun/scared/anxious. Hee.
Just landed at LTCC & waiting for our driver, Shauky. :)
When we reached the hotel, we were in awe cos it looked really nice! But our mood dampened shortly after. Firstly, the Front Office Staff was really unfriendly & unhelpful. She even scoffed when she saw our Singaporean passports. WTF. Secondly, we were told that we had to pay a deposit of 300RM. WTF X 2. We weren't told by our travel agency about this so imagine how pissed we were! So I guess that's just one glitch that we had with Roam. :/
We didn't take much pictures of the room when we checked in! There was one bedroom, one toilet & like another room with a coffee table & tv. I assume that's a mini dining room? So we settled down & got ready to head out for lunch. We headed to Berjaya Times Square, which was a 7 minute walk from our hotel. That's one plus point about our hotel! It's really accessible & you can walk along the whole stretch of shopping malls.
We had our first lunch in KL at Kenny Rogers. Doesn't the food look damn good? Well, it didn't taste good. At all. :( We were really disappointed with the food cos it was pretty much tasteless. In fact, it tasted like hospital food! Then the shopping began! The mall is so huge that after the second floor, my legs were already feeling tired! We also visited other shopping malls along Bukit Bintang. After we were done we had dinner at this place called Naab!
First they served us a complimentary lime-mint drink. It was super refreshing~~ I can feel the tangy feeling in my mouth as I type this!
Then our hummus came!
Atikah & I shared a Kebab with rice dish. The rice is super fluffy!
Saliza & Ain shared Briyani Rice! This is damnnnnnn good. Kinda tastes like Bryani-infused fried rice? Am I making sense? Anyway, it's just damn good. Period.
This is us shisha-ing while waiting for our food to arrive! We hung out til it was late. It started raining & flooding so we cabbed back to the hotel.
& that's the end of Day One! ^.^
I'm still contemplating on whether I should post by days or in one whole long-ass post. :/ Okay one long post it is.
That's us while we're getting ready for breakfast the next day! :)
We had our breakfast by the pool! It was pretty hazy that morning. It felt like we were in Genting! The view is pretty, but breakfast was meh. After that we headed to the Islamic Museum! We were super excited about going to the museum cos there were many good reviews about it.
We cabbed there! & the old uncle who drove us was so cute. Like Pak Mat Tempeh! We were asking him about KL & we asked him where we could go to have Subway. & he replied, "There, to your right there's the subway. Many people go there to take photos.". We were all listening intently then suddenly burst out laughing. He was pointing to a train station when were talking about the food outlet. He also asked if Goh Chok Tong was still alive & asked us to send his regards. O.o
Ta-dah, the museum guide. It's simplistic, yet detailed but pretty, just like the whole museum. ;)
See what I mean? Just look at the details on that pillar. O.O
& that's the like sunroof? Is that what it's called? It's so pretty, no?
Check out whose name is in the museum! :P
I don't wanna bore you with too many museum photos, so this is the last one of us at the museum!
Then we went for lunch! Then I think we went to different places to shop. I am pretty useless cos I can't remember where we went exactly. I think we went to Masjid India, Petaling Street, Central Market? In no particular order cos I have the worst memory ever.
Then after a bit of shopping, we went to A&W! At first, I wasn't really excited about the waffles, but when I bit into them I was like puking rainbows! It's so warm/cold/sweet/yummy. Life's simple pleasures! *insertwinningbabyphoto*
We then hung out there for awhile, just chilling & people-watching. We walked quite a distance & our pretty little feet needed the rest! ^.^
Then we did more shopping! Bought snacks, drinks, dinner & headed back to our hotel. :)
That's us after we washed up & were getting ready for dinner! The chicken rice that we got was sedapppp. Anyway, that's the mini dining room that I was talking about! So we had dinner then we all settled in bed. Guess what was on tv? A classic Hindustani movie. The girls were excited but not my kinda thing. :P
Look at our stock of instant tea, junk food & instant noodles! On our third day, we were already exhausted by all the walking & shopping. We had already planned to just chill in our room til late then head out. We woke up, ate junk food, watched tv & went back to sleep. Mehehe. The room was like being in another world; you won't know if it's day or night.
Guess where we went to then? Yes, A&W again! I kept hugging the bear on the counter & rubbing it's belly! Maklumlah, my boyfriend wasn't there with me. :P
Then we shopped again. T.T Shop shop shop until siaoooo, then it was time for early dinner! We ate at this coffee-shop along with shisha. If only they had that in Singapore. Here, it's only expensive Arabian cuisine with shisha. :/ And this shisha costed 15RM, if I remember correctly. Cheaaaap!
Then we tapau-ed Ramly burgers back for supper! The menu was like a graph thingy & we kept asking what every burger was. Hahahaha. Luckily the guy was nice & wan't annoyed. Furthermore, we were being noisy & bimbotic in front of his stall.
Finally, it's the last day of our trip!
We spent our morning trying to squeeze everything we had into our bags then we checked out! We headed to Berjaya Times Square for free Wi-Fi at Starbucks & to do some last-minute shopping. One thing about Furama, there's no free Wi-Fi which I find really annoying considering it's a 4-star hotel. Even the hotel in Batam had free wi-fi! :(
Look at the variety of cakes at KL's Starbucks. :( #jealous.
We hung out at Starbucks & played Snap til we realized we were a bit too loud. :P
Then we continued shopping again! Hahaha. Look at our faces caught off-guard. So cute! & see that plastic bag I'm carrying? That was for the boyfriend's mom. I felt super silly carrying it around macam got gold inside. It wouldn't fit in my bag & I didn't want it to spill so I carried it like that til I reached Singapore. #slenger
Somehow waiting for the plane back took really long. I was really restless or maybe I was just itching to get back home. :P
& minutes later, we're home. <3
Many thanks to my girls for the company! The trip was a getaway we all needed so badly. Thanks to Roam Holidays too. & *patsback* for managing to save enough to go on a holiday. :') & thanks to Atikah's mom for fetching Saliza & I from the airport & sending us home. Initially, I was so worried that anything bad would happen to us since we were all girls, but thank You for watching over us. I'm very thankful.
As a token of apology for not posting in a million years, here's a photo where I think Ain & I look cute. Heh. *peacesign*
Okay la, give you chance! Here's one more photo of me with a postbox. :P & we match!
I haven't blogged in so long cos I was procrastinating to write this post. Now that it's over, I am so relieved! Okay, til next time! Bye <3
